Ok welcome to the Old Money Brain Teaser. I have to say this is a toughy!! You will need

4    A knowledge or a look up source for ALL kinds of old English money, AND SLANG  i.e. before and indeed WELL before      decimalisation.

You will be well pleased when I tell you that I have given you the overall answer - The bad news is I want the individual question answers from you - some are harder than others obviously but they all relate to English paper and money and or coinage. YOUR TASK IS TO FIND ALL EIGHT ANSWERS THAT ADD UP TO THE TOTAL.

For your amusement and so I can feel smug as I did this originally in less then an hour ( its my site and I will gloat if want to ) the marking regime is harsh.

under and hour - I am so impressed I want to meet you ( women only obviously !)

half a day           - Still impressive

A day                   - Very well done

under a week    -  Been looking up facts on the internet have we - never mind still a good effort.

Over a week       - Time to ask for a clue or two

Over a month    - You need some help with this trust me

six months        - You need to attend my old money course at very reasonable rates

A year +              - Your either persistent or very stupid !
